Are there different types of blogs?

Yes

There are blogs that only post pictures with a bref comment.

There are blogs that use video only, video blogs.

But the most common is the blog that uses writing.
These blogs communicate with the spoken word in writing.
They write an article about what ever the topic is they want to talk about.

Very simple.
You can communicate in pictures, images, videos, or writing.

Those are the different types of blogs.
